A NOTE from the president
The American Student Dental Association at the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry strives to be a resource for members to continue learning, building relationships, and honing in leadership skills outside of the classroom. As the largest student group at UKCD, and part of the national organization with over 24,000 members from dental schools throughout the country, ASDA can be an invaluable networking tool for students and can act as encompassing resource to:
Learn the benefits of an ASDA membership and learn the benefits of continued membership in organized dentistry (i.e., American Dental Association, Kentucky Dental Association, etc.).
Stay up to date on legislature that impact dentists and/or dental students and how you can have your voice heard.\
Become involved in a formative organization that enables you to network with other dental students and companies, and attend several events geared towards students, both social and educational.
My goal is to convey the huge positive impact that being an ASDA member can have on students, both personally and professionally. Not only are there opportunities to grow as a leader in our local chapter, on a district level, and on a national level, but ASDA also offers the building blocks to help us develop into active citizens of the healthcare community that can drive changes benefitting the future of our profession and the patients we serve. As your 2024-2025 President, I hope to help keep ASDA traditions alive as we continue to improve our chapter and host events that are beneficial to all of our student members and pushes us to be the best versions of ourselves. I am truly excited for the upcoming year.
