ASDA DAY

ASDA Day is a day of professional development for all of our students at UKCD. In the morning, we have a guest lecturer to speak at the Dr. Vincent A. Barr Visiting Presenter Program. The Kentucky Center for Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides breakfast, and ASDA provides lunch for all students and faculty in attendance. In the afternoon, we host a vendor fair. Vendors from all over the country come to talk to our students about their companies and potential job opportunities. ASDA Day is a great way to navigate the possible opportunities after graduation.

 
 

DISTRICT 7 MEETING

 

DISTRiCT 7 Meeting

District 7 consists of seven schools:

Kentucky - Indiana - Louisville - Marquette - Midwestern - Southern Illinois - University of Illinois Chicago

This meeting serves as a networking opportunity for the students in our district. Students engage in meaningful presentations with professionals in our district. There is the opportunity to network with other students in our district and take part in service opportunities such as writing notes to servicemen and filling hygiene kits for the homeless.

NATIONAL LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE

National Leadership Conference is one of three national ASDA conferences, held in Chicago each year.

ANNUAL SESSION

Annual Session is also one of three national ASDA conferences, and the location changes every year. In the past, this conference has been held in Louisville, KY, Seattle, WA, and Denver, CO.

 
 

ADA | ASDA STUDENT LOBBY DAY

 

ADA | ASDA Student Lobby Day

Members of the ADA and ASDA come together in Washington, DC to lobby for the dental profession. Each year, we are tasked with three bills to lobby for on behalf of dentists, dental students, staff, and patients across the country. Some of the most recent bills we have lobbied for include expanded Medicaid benefits, dental and optometric insurances being unable to set fees for non-covered services, and deferred interest for dental residents.
